From October 21 to November 1, 2024, the Colombian city of Cali will host the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP 16) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). COP16 CBD will be the first Biodiversity COP since the adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) in 2022, which established a roadmap with 4 goals for 2050 and 23 targets for 2030 to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.
As the Spanish hub of the Capitals Coalition, we are collaborating with various entities (including Business for Nature, The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, One Planet Business for Biodiversity, Science Based Targets Network (SBTN), World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), and the World Economic Forum) to identify representatives from the Spanish business sector interested in attending COP16 and assist them with their accreditation application process.
If you are considering attending, we encourage you to fill out our expression of interest form for attending COP16.
