Natural Capital Factory to participate in the COP16 on Biodiversity in Cali

Natural Capital Factory will participate in the COP16 on Biodiversity, which will be held in Cali, Colombia, from October 21 to November 1. Specifically, we will contribute alongside representatives from other national hubs of the Capitals Coalition at the event “People’s Roundtable on Practical Natural Capital applications from around the world”, which will take place on October 30, from 11:00 to 11:45 am in the Business & Finance Hub (Quebec Place, Blue Zone, Events Center Pacific Valley).

The event will bring together prominent professionals from companies, financial institutions, and business organizations worldwide to share their experience in integrating nature into business practice. During the session, it will be shown how companies and financial institutions are contributing to achieving Target 15 of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), using frameworks, tools, and metrics to assess and disclose their impacts and dependencies on nature.

In our presentation, we will use a case study on the work developed with the Natural Capital and Energy Working Group to explain how companies in the Spanish energy sector are working together to achieve Target 15 of the GBF. The presentation will address the challenges faced and the lessons learned.

Coordinated by Azentúa and Ecoacsa, this working group includes EDP Spain, Endesa, Enagás, Iberdrola, Naturgy, Redeia and Repsol.

Date: October 30

Time: 11:00 h – 11:45 h

Venue: Business & Finance Hub (Quebec Place, Blue Zone, Events Center Pacific Valley)
